I saw this forlorn little dresser at a thrift store and knew right away that it needed some love. That’s one great thing about making over furniture and home decor pieces – there usually isn’t much competition for the sad ‘before’ items!
Because this is another item from the archives, I can’t recall how much time it spent in Craft Purgatory before inspiration struck. My mom bought a cool paper pack and a hexie paper punch and suddenly I knew how I would make over the jewelry box (thanks, Mom!). I painted the box a bright blue and carefully affixed hexagon punchouts across the top and on the drawer fronts using my best friend, Mod Podge. I MacGyvered the pulls from some cut glass buttons and a little stiff tubing and sealed it with acrylic topcoat. I hope you like it!
